Celebrations of culture, language, and belonging with our tamariki and whānau at Paramount Grove.

Heritage Day

We proudly celebrated South African Heritage Day with a vibrant showcase of culture, language, music, and art. It was a wonderful opportunity for our tamariki and whānau to honour the rich diversity of South African traditions alongside the many unique cultures that weave together our diverse early learning community.

The highlight of the celebration was an unforgettable, sweet moment as our talented preschoolers came together to perform a song in Afrikaans, filling our centre with joy, unity, and shared cultural pride.

Filipino Language Week

Celebrating Filipino Language Week was a meaningful journey into the heart of culture, memory, and identity for our early learning community. Throughout the week, our tamariki experienced the richness of Filipino traditions through engaging songs, music, traditional games, symbols, and childhood stories lovingly shared by our educators.

By opening a window into their own upbringing, our team provided children with far more than a simple learning experience: they fostered deep connection, cultural understanding, and a true sense of belonging. Through this special celebration, we reaffirm our commitment to honouring every child's story, language, and heritage, reminding our tamariki that many diverse cultures and stories come together to create our one beautiful community.
